Sephora VIB Sale Haul

Last week Sephora had their spring sale, where VIB and VIB Rouge members got 15% off everything, and Beauty Insiders got 10% off. If you're a frequent shopper at Sephora, this is something you plan ahead for. I've had my eye on a few items for a while and was holding out on buying them for the sale! I got all of the items above is 3 separate purchases - two were made in-store and one was made online. My online order just came in the mail yesterday so today I'm showing you what I got!

One of the most talked about beauty tools from the past few years has been the Beauty Blender. For those who don't know, it's a sponge that you use damp and can use it to apply foundation, concealer, and other cream or liquid face products. I've held off for so long buying it, but I finally caved and picked it up during the sale. I got a bundle that came with 2 Beauty Blenders and the liquid Blender Cleanser because it only cost $1 more than buying 1 sponge and the cleanser on their own. I'm excited to try it out and see what all the hype around this sponge is!

One thing I couldn't resist was the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Strawberry Kissed. I'm a big fan of these matte liquid lipsticks! They come in so many beautiful shades and they're incredibly long wearing on the lips. For matte liquid lipsticks they're quite comfortable too compared to some others I've tried. This bright deepened pink will be so pretty this spring and summer!

The next item I got is the new Tarte Showstopper Clay Palette. Tarte has released a few other disc palettes like this one before and they come with a full-sized Amazonian Clay blush, a bronzer, a highlighter, and 6 beautiful eye shadow shades. I have one they released a couple of years ago and it's one of my all-time favourite palettes so I really wanted to give this one a try. There are some really unique and stunning shadows in this palette and I really love the cheek colours as well! I'll be travelling this summer and this is something I'll definitely pack because it's such an all-in-one palette!

A repurchase I had to pick up is the mini Benefit POREfessional Primer. I got a mini size of this about 6 months ago and it is just about empty now, so I got another. I don't use this primer every day because I have other primers I like using as well, but I do really like this one! It smooths my skin out quite nicely and helps keep my makeup in place. I also realized that a mini 0.25oz size of this primer is $12, and the full size 0.75oz product is $37, so technically it's $1 cheaper to buy 3 of the mini tubes of it (for $36) and you get the same amount of product! I prefer buying the minis too because it's easier on my wallet to spend only $12 at a time.

A couple of months back, Kat Von D posted a photo of this new eye palette on her Instagram and it was immediately on my wishlist and I knew I'd want to get it during the Sephora sale. This is the Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Contour Palette. I absolutely love both matte and neutral eye shadows, so this palette is a dream come true for me. I like that it has a nice balance of warm and cool-toned shades in it, and there are also some shades in there that are different from other matte palettes I own. The shadows are all so smooth and pigmented and blend wonderfully. I know this will be a go-to palette for me!

During the sale I ended up buying my first ever foundation from Sephora. Typically I only buy drugstore foundations but I had a gift card so I decided to splurge a little bit and get the Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ Matifying Foundation. I had picked up a sample of this foundation on the first day of the sale and after trying it out I ended up getting it. It's a medium to full coverage matte foundation. It feels really lightweight on the skin and works great on my combination complexion. It doesn't dry out my drier areas and it keeps my oily spots pretty much oil-free! I've tried a handful of foundation samples from Sephora over the past 6 months or so, so I'm glad I found one that works for me!

The last item is a 100 point gift I got when I made my online order. It's the Living Proof Instant Texture Mist. I've never tried anything from Living Proof before but I've heard a lot of great things about their products so I thought I'd give it a try! I've been a fan of the messy, loose waves look lately for my hair, and I hope this works well to give me some added texture!

So, it's pretty safe to say I'm on a beauty no-buy for a little while now. I can't wait to use all of these new products though!

What did you get during the Sephora sale? Have you tried or wanted to try anything I picked up?
