June Favourites 2015
I know I'm a bit late, but I thought today I'd share my June Favourites with you! I didn't switch up my beauty products too much in June, because I mainly did my makeup out of what I packed for my Disney trip. I did try a few new things throughout the month that I really liked though, so here's what they are!
The first new product I tried last month was the Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash. I had heard about this cleanser in a Rachel Whitehurst video, and decided to check it out because it sounded really great for combination skin, which is what I have. I typically use this at night with my Conair Sonic Skincare Brush and it makes my skin feel really clean, without feeling too dry or stripped. It also has a slightly minty smell which is really refreshing. I'd really recommend picking up a sample of this at Sephora if you're in the market for a new cleanser!
A sample product I got in my Sephora bag sometime last month, is a sample of the new Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner in Beyond Brown. When the original black version of this liner first came out, I remember hearing very mixed reviews about it. A lot of people didn't seem to like the formula or applicator, and others seemed to really love it. Because of those mixed reviews, I ended up not trying it out for myself in case I didn't like it. I'm glad I got this free sample of the new brown liner though, because I was pleasantly surprised with it! I found the formula to glide on really smoothly, and the applicator makes it easy to create a clean line and wing. I really like the brown colour too, because I've never used brown to create my usual cat-eye look, and I like the softer appearance it gives.
One product that's not as new to me, but I used a lot in June is the Colourpop Lippie Stix in Brink. This is my perfect peachy nude that I've been wearing almost every day. I brought this on my trip to Disney and I wore it most days. It has such great lasting power that I usually only have to touch it up once or twice a day. If you haven't tried Colourpop yet, or if you have but haven't tried this shade, I'd definitely recommend it!
A new foundation find last month was the L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation. After hearing everyone rave about how great this foundation is on blogs and YouTube, I finally caved and picked it up. I really, really love this foundation. It is matte, but still has quite a natural look on the skin and it has great staying power as well. This was the only foundation I brought to Disney with me and it held up exceptionally well in the extreme heat too! I've been reaching for this on pretty much a daily basis since, and I think it's a new Holy Grail foundation for me!
The last product in my favourites is something that I got while I was in Florida, but has been a serious life changer in the short time I've had it. I'm talking about the Wet Brush. I've wanted to try this brush out for quite a while, but it's not available in stores in Canada (to my knowledge). I found it at Sally's Beauty Supply in the states and I'm so glad I got it! I have really thick and tangly hair that is always such a hassle to brush, especially when my hair is wet. This brush magically brushes through any tangles without tugging or any pain whatsoever! I don't know what makes this brush work so well, but if you have unmanageable, tangly hair, you have to give it a try!
What were your favourite products from June? Have you tried any of the ones I mentioned?
