Walt Disney World Day 2 | Epcot
I'm back today to show you a bunch of photos from day 2 at Disney! This post is quite photo-heavy, but I hope you enjoy them! On our 2nd day at Disney World, we went to Epcot. I remembered Epcot as being one of my favourite parks from when I visited as a child and it definitely didn't disappoint. We spent the morning in the front end of the park and got to meet Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy, and then in the afternoon we went to the World Showcase portion of the park!
I think on this trip I was most looking forward to meeting Minnie Mouse. As a kid at Disney, my parents didn't really take my sister and I around to meet characters much so we didn't meet very many. But this trip was packed with meeting characters and I was so excited about it!
I wore my Minnie Mouse dress from the Lauren Conrad collection at Kohl's which I had ordered online a couple of months before the trip. I also wore a Minnie bow I purchased at the park in my hair! Minnie loved my dress and she noticed my nails too (which were red and white polka dots with Mickey and Minnie on my ring fingers).
When we were in the United Kingdom in the World Showcase I met Alice, and she was so cute and funny. Because of my red dress and the card I had her sign (see in the photo below), she thought I might have been associated with the Red Queen. I assured her I wasn't though haha!
When researching places to eat in all the parks, everyone raved about the pastries you could get in France at Epcot. I ended up getting a Chocolat Tart at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie and it was amazing. Creamy chocolate mousse with caramel inside a flaky crust with a dark chocolate curl on top (my mouth is watering just thinking about it). It was so light and creamy and absolutely delicious! (You can see the chocolate tarts on the far right side in the photo below.)
Probably my favourite "country" we visited this day would have to be Morocco. The architecture and tiling everywhere was so beautiful to look at. There were so many intricate details put into the buildings and decor, it was gorgeous! We also met Aladdin and Jasmine while we were there!
The next country we visited was Japan. There was a fun gift shop to browse with all sorts of Japanese products and souveneirs, and there were lots of Japanese treats to be found!
After Japan was America, followed by Italy, Germany, China, Norway, and then we finished in Mexico. Around Japan it had started to rain (as you can probably tell by the gray skies in my photos), so we sort of rushed through the 2nd half of the World Showcase.
When we were in Mexico we stopped for dinner and found a table under some shelter. We sat there for a couple of hours waiting for the IllumiNations show, but it was unfortunately delayed for over an hour because of the rain and lightning, so we didn't end up staying for it. Instead, we went back to the front of the park and rode a few rides on our way out since they were less busy than they had been that morning!
Epcot was probably one of my favourite days of the trip. It was quite a relaxed, laid back day where we got to see a lot of cool things, meet some characters, and ride a few rides too!
Have you ever been to Epcot? What's your favourite part about it?
